History Hit held a vote giving you the chance to vote for your favourite historical film. Our team of editorial experts, passionate historians and enthusiasts spent hours assessing our favourite historical films from the last 50 years, and cross-referenced these with Oscar nominations and wins. We managed to whittle these down to a discerning editorial selection of our top 20, and then put the vote over to you to decide the winner.
