Buying a History Hit TV subscription from StackCommerce FAQ | History Hit

How do I start my subscription?

After you have obtained your StackCommerce code, go to the History Hit TV sign up page and select an ‘Annual’ subscription.

 

You will not be charged again during this process and you will redeem the length of offer you purchased via StackCommerce.

 

You will need to input your details, including your name, credit card details and address, to create an account with us. When you are prompted to input a promo code – as shown in the screenshot attached – please insert the code given to you by StackCommerce (a green tick will appear if input correctly).

 

 

Once you have completed the checkout process, your unique StackCommerce code will be recognised and immediately applied to your account. For the duration of the subscription purchased – 12 months, 24 months or 36 months – you will not be charged.

 

Please note: By default, your subscription is set to auto-renew to an annual subscription at the end of your StackCommerce purchase in line with our terms and conditions, unless you have cancelled it. You can cancel immediately after you sign up and you will never get a recurring charge.

 

If you completed the History Hit signup process on 5 August 2020 for instance, using a 12 month coupon code, the subscription would renew on 5 August 2021. You will receive an email notifying you a week before the subscription is set to renew / your Stack Commerce purchase is about to end.

 

If you wish to set your subscription to expire at the end of your StackCommerce subscription

Please follow these steps:

 

1. Log in to your account at tv.historyhit.com, on a desktop (not the app).

 

2. Click the silhouette icon on the homepage, next to the search option, to access your account details.

 

 

3. Click ‘My Subscription’

 

4. Finally, click on ‘Cancel Subscription’.

I have already paid for my subscription, why do I need to give my credit card details?

To sign up for a History Hit subscription, you will need to provide credit card details to complete your account. However, as long as you input your Stack Social code, you will not be charged for the duration of the subscription purchased from Stack Social.

My Credit Card details have been declined:

At History Hit, we unfortunately cannot accept American Express outside the UK. Do not worry if you used an American Express card to purchase your Stack Social subscription, as the two do not need to match.
